This Week's Intention: Use your inner wisdom and heart's desire to move towards your truth. Awaken, transform, heal, repeat. The solar eclipse of last week ushers in a waxing Moon and multiple planetary changes for the days to come. It's a very exciting week for the transits, with Mars and Sun both changing signs and Mercury going retrograde. These changes bring a separation between the tight conjunction of Mars and Venus, while Sun leaves its own sign for his enemy's sign, Virgo. We are now in a delicate two week period between eclipses that lasts until the total lunar eclipse and full Moon on September 27th. The gap between eclipses is a sacred time where we must be diligent with spiritual matters and notice the messages that arrive. Traditionally, it is not a time to start new ventures or take daring or dangerous actions. It is however a time to reflect, turn inward and work consciously with our shadow parts. After all, an eclipse is showing us the shadow on our Sun or Moon qualities quite directly. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. Monday begins with Moon transiting Virgo and Hasta nakshatra, tightly conjunct Mercury as well as Rahu. Ruling deity, Savitr, brings his guiding light and awakenings today. Allow in the light, new realizations and potent connections through thinking and feeling. With Moon, Mercury and Rahu dancing so closely today, the battle between thinking and feeling may be strong. Allow in the feelings of goodness, prosperity and purpose. How can you find balance between the inner forces of mind and emotions? Let the light come in and bring the dawn. It's a new dawn, it's a new day. What are you creating? Mars is at the edge of Cancer in deep sandhi. He's leaving the watery sign of feelings and jumping into the fiery, passionate sign of Leo. Be a warrior of the heart right now and prepare to leap into your passions feet first in the coming cycle. Day of Mars, Tuesday, brings Moon shifting into a Mars ruled nakshatra, Chitra, late morning. This constellation is Vishvakarma's domain, the celestial architect. He loves powerful action, creativity and alignment with the cosmos. He's an artist and craftsman and he supports these endeavors as well as building and planning. Take intentional action steps today that align with your higher purpose, path and creativity. At 08:22 on Tuesday September 15th, Mars makes the leap officially into Leo, joining Jupiter and a sandhi Sun here. All receive drishti from Saturn's stern and focused stare. Mars enjoys the sign Leo and its ruling planet Sun, for their fiery, passionate ways, as well as the great teacher and wisdom giver, Jupiter. Saturn and Mars, however oppose each other energetically. Mars is fast while Saturn is extremely slow. Take this advice into the coming cycle as there will be a desire to push, force and rush, while Saturn will insist on slow, methodical steps for greater balance. If you feel frustrations with your desires, action steps, relationships and creative passions, it is Saturn reminding you to slow down and be more intentional with your actions. He reminds us to stay aligned with the wisdom of Nature. Are you listening? Part of this Mars transit includes another tight conjunction between the warrior energy of Mars and the fluid, creative and feminine, Venus, once again. There is a brief separation as Mars shifts to Leo, but Venus joins him here two weeks later on September 30th. The fiery, passionate and focused warrior planet dances yet again with the creative, relationship planet, Venus, who shares the wisdom of feelings with us. This duo in Leo will increase passions on all levels of life- including creative, artistic, romantic, and relational. Power increases and our drive to achieve passionately, unfolds. Increasing this potent creative, life force energy, as well as a focus on romance and relationships, comes from the shift of Jupiter into Purvaphalguni nakshatra on September 14th. Jupiter's expansive qualities intensify the potency of the Phalguni constellation and their sensual expression. Bhaga brings resources, comforts and the ability to manifest desires into form. Be conscious about what you are creating in your life at this time. Increase your feelings of nourishment, happiness and joy, in order to create more of this in your life. Seek wisdom that brings inner harmony and open your heart to gratitude, passion and allow the romance of life to lift you up. Creativity takes courage, so use your creative powers very intentionally and courageoulsy at this time. Moon moves to Libra, late evening, leaving the influence of the other planets through conjunction or gaze. Allow in the emotional body space over the coming days. Sun is at the very edge of Leo, ready to step into Virgo. Keep your light burning by attending to your body and soul. As Wednesday arrives, Moon continues through Chitra until just before noon. Swati nakshatra gains magnification as Moon enters this nakshatra. Ruling deity Vayu brings swift change, powerful movement and strength. The mind and body will be the forces behind these changes. Are you grounded or lost in flight? Stay grounded and get embodied, rather than getting overpowered by the strong winds of Vayu. He brings change- whether small or large, as well as strength to move mountains. What needs to shift inside, so you can gain the power and strength you need to build your empire? Just before midnight on Wednesday, September 16th at 23: 26, Sun shifts into Virgo, joining Rahu and Mercury here. All receive drishti from Ketu, the re-structuring lightning bolt. Sun is not fond of Virgo and this can cause discomfort for our mind, strategies, connections and communication. His light wants to shine potently and powerfully, at maximum strength, yet Virgo is very specific, overly focused at times and too direct. This can cause mental burn, overwhelm and excess heat in the mental body so be vigilant at this time with your mind. Are you pushing too hard? Are you feeling taxed, overwhelmed or dissatisfied? Virgo's precision and the mental body, may be keeping you from nourishment. Allow in the feelings of light, awakening and new insights to encourage healing and greater support. This transit of Sun can be a powerful opportunity for awakenings, depending on where we put our efforts and energy. Great healing and inner light is possible, if we diligently look at our shadows and courageously attend to our inner struggles. The mind will be telling you one thing, but listen to the heart and its wisdom instead. Go for nourishment, go for healing old wounds, go for your inner gold this time. Halfway through Thursday, day of the guru, Moon shifts into the final nakshatra of Libra, Vishaka. Often described as the "triumphant gateway", the symbol here is a decorated gateway, while Vishaka's translation is "the two branches". Vishaka gives us options, choices and thereby confusion at times. Do you go left or right? Say yes or no? As my guru Maharishi once said, in the market place, "you can choose salt or sugar." Ruling deity, Indragni, reminds us that every path requires support, collaboration and co-creation. Allow yourself to receive support in order to enhance your path. What choice do you make for your potent, powerful life today? Do you choose to honor your gifts, desires, passions and heart wisdom? Do you honor your feelings and their messages of truth? Step onto the path of nourishment, support and inner kindness. Say yes to the sugar and sweetness of your one, precious life. Mercury begins his 22 day retrograde motion at 11:07 on Thursday, the 17th, moving back through his favorite sign, Virgo. The conjunction of Mercury and Rahu during this cycle will effect individuals differently. For some, the confusion of Rahu will undermine the potency of Mercury being well positioned, intensified by Mercury's retrograde motion. Others will experience a massive upswing in finances, connections and creativity. Your ability to resource from your inner strength and power will determine your success during this extra long Virgo transit. What is your relationship with your shadow? Can you tame the beast, call it on its self-deprecation and consciously work with overcoming limiting beliefs? Success will come to those who take the dark and turn it into the light. Your biggest struggles are asking you to rise to the occasion. Turn struggle and challenge into gifts and awakening. This Mercury cycle is extra long and unusual. In many regards it is an offering with extra graces- if we choose to use them as such. Mercury usually makes fairly swift movements, yet his retrograde motion will prolong his dance through his favorite sign. He will retrograde on September 17th, then go direct on October 9th, and finally leave Virgo on the 28th of October. During this back and forth shuffle, he will move in and out of his most potent degree range and also slide in and out of his mulitrikona and own sign degrees. We get a smorgasbord of his support, struggles and potency. An exalted planet shares 100% of his energy, mulitrikona 75% and own sign 50%. Remember that once he retrogrades, at times he will be considered debilitated as he moves back through his exaltation degrees. (Exalted planets in retrograde motion are considered debilitated). This occurs from September 28th to October 9th to be exact. At this time he is closely conjunct Rahu and combust (burnt) from the Sun. Certainly a time to be very diligent with our mental body, our shadow work and our ego. Use this time for conscious self development work and spiritual practices. During this Mercury transit through Virgo, we will all need to pay special attention to our mental body, our imaginal body. Stories, thoughts, ideas and words will be extra strong and powerful as will our creativity and imagination. This is the part of our being that can create magic, or destroy us. Depending on Mercury's placement in your chart and your relationship with him, this could be an extra challenging cycle, or a powerful and creative game-changer. Being on top of your mental/emotional body dynamics will be vital. Today, September 17th, is Ganesh Chaturthi, celebrated birthday of the revered elephant god. The festivities continue for 10 days, ending on the 27th with the Purnima Moon. He is the son of Shiva and Parvati who removes obstacles and challenges on our path of awakening. On the physical body level, his head correlates to our brain and his trunk to our spinal column. These are essential body parts for transcendence and awakening. He is a reminder of spiritual practice, devotion and mental body vigilance- in order for awakening and our greatest obstacles to be removed from our path. Jai Ganesha!! Late morning on Friday, Moon arrives into its debilitation sign, Scorpio, joining planet of grief, Saturn. Mars and Ketu share their drishti as well. This combination contracts the otherwise joyful and harmonizing spirit of the Moon, while also bringing agitations, anger and frustrations to the surface. A certain depression may arrive in the coming days. The emotional body is reminding you to express, awaken and transform your feelings. Have you been closing off, repressing your power, passions and emotional body wisdom? Now is the time to get things moving. As Moon shifts into Anuradha late afternoon, friends, connections and comrades can be powerful allies of support. Let a trustworthy and nourishing relationship in for guidance and listening. Allow yourself to share and be witnessed for your struggles and sorrows. Use your physical body wisdom as a resource for harvesting your emotional body messages. Move, create, express, transform. Stay out of the fine details that limit your broad, expanded awareness. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. Discover your dharma and life path through the wisdom of jyotish, embodiment and art therapy. Join the List. Saturday continues Anuradha's themes of support and connection. Ruling deity, Mitra, allows success and deep connection to transpire. Are you allowing in the nourishing, supportive assistance? Let the gifts arrive and say yes! Early evening, Moon shifts to Indra's domain, Jyeshtha nakshatra. As king of the devas (gods), Indra is a master and powerful leader. Planetary ruler, Mercury, invites in mastery of the mind and senses. The opportunity for mental body healing comes with Jyestha, but through control and focused, aligned intention. Do you rule your mind or does it rule you? Sunday continues Indra's support and awareness. There is extra sensitivity within this nakshatra, but simultaneously great power. Find mastery with your senses and the illusions they bring. Commit to transforming negative thoughts into powerful, positive ones. Use the shadows and darkness of the mind to awaken you. How are your challenges keeping you in the dark? Let them lead you towards your gifts, your truth and potency. Mid evening, Moon jumps to Sagittarius. This can be a tricky gandanta for any planet- from water to fire. As Moon makes his leap, he arrives into Mula nakshatra, a challenging and tumultuous constellation ruled by the dark goddess herself, Nirrti. She brings calamity with her, as well as crisis, confusion and destruction of inner power. Her forces are meant to keep one from dharma, a path of truth, power and inner knowing. Her darkness can bring great misery, or great healing. The healing only arrives when we are willing to face our own darkness and use it as a means of transformation, change and awakening. Monday begins with the chaos of Nirrti so keep this in mind as you step into your day. Are you working with the challenges consciously or resisting them? Any force against the challenge will not be a good use of your efforts or energy. Instead, surrender, let go and allow release. Simplify and do less- in order to accomplish more. *All calculations given are Pacific Daylight Time. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. This Week's Intention: Pull out the shadows from your heart center and give them some light. Use action steps to arrive gracefully back to your own being. Moon continues to wane this week, as we near the new Moon. The week closes with a potent new Moon and partial solar eclipse, ushering in a delicate two week period. Monday begins with Moon in the forceful nakshatra, Ardra and transiting Gemini. Ardra's ruling deity, Rudra, intensifies our mental/emotional balance. Can you feel the increase from all sides? Now, more than ever, its vital that you listen to your inner signals and watch for the manipulation of chaos. Take your power back and stand in your center, your knowing. This soft center, where your inner wisdom resides, is the place where your power can not be dismantled. Stay true to your knowing. Get grounded. After noon, Moon shifts to a softer, more sensitive nakshatra, Punarvasu. Ruling deity, Aditi, offers her all-knowing wisdom, insights and awareness that weren't previously available to us. Let her nourishment give you depth, trust and expanded knowing. There is some clean up to do. Listen to your truth. Tuesday carries forward the gentle support of Aditi as Moon continues through Punarvasu nakshatra. Late morning, Moon moves to its own sign, Cancer, joining debilitated Mars and Venus (who is now direct). All receive the gaze of Ketu, the re-structurer. Changes in relationships, heart and emotions arrive. Use the wisdom of Aditi to find compassion and release. Deep feelings can arrive over the coming days so attend to your heart and its needs diligently. When the emotional body swells, it's because it needs to release and let go. Find healthy ways to let the emotions out. If you feel ungrounded, be sure to connect with breath and body for stabilizing. Mid afternoon, Moon shifts into Pushya nakshatra, Brihaspati's domain. The interesting thing about this nakshatra is its seemingly contradictory rulers. Brihaspati is the deity who governs this lunar constellation. Essentially he is the personification of Jupiter, the expansive, nourishing, wisdom giver. However, the planetary ruler of Pushya is Saturn, the contractive, slow, grief inducing planet. As the nourishing star, this nakshatra reminds us of the importance of balance. Both expansion and contraction are vital for any real balance to be experienced. Cancer is the sign Pushya resides in, which is the seat of our emotional body and heart, and the home to our inhale and exhale. Pushya reminds us that the ultimate nourishing breath of life comes with both openings and closings. Healthy boundaries that include yes and no, being a part of this process. As Moon moves through Pushya, today and tomorrow, seek balance. Let your breath be the guide. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. Discover how to determine your dharma and life path through the wisdom of jyotish in my free new Moon class. Join the List. Pushya's theme carries us through Wednesday and it will be an especially potent reminder as the mental body tries to dominate and intensify our feelings. Late afternoon, Moon shifts into the final nakshatra of Cancer, Ashlesha. Sarpa and his illusions take hold and provoke mental body intensity. He can bring poison to the mind as well as over-confidence, lack of clarity and deception. Through these challenges, we have an opportunity to awaken and transform. Can we clarify the uncertainty, the confusion? Can we see through the smoke clouds? Can we move consciously through the territory of our mental body without succumbing to its imaginary ways? Avoid the bite of Sarpa and use the darkness for awakening. Where there is pain, there is possibility for change. A gift is hidden inside your darkness. Can you find it? Moon conjuncts debilitated Mars and Venus who is only now starting to move forward in motion. All transit Ashlesha nakshatra in close conjunction. The emotional body intensifies and requires physical grounding for safe landing. Ketu's drishti can bring confusion or awakening. You decide. Thursday Moon spends the majority of the day in Ashlesha and we continue to navigate Sarpa and his ways. Diligently track the mental body and its stories, imaginal offerings and shadowed allure. Can you stay out of its snare? The mind will be responsible for heightening any intense emotions. Land in the body for grounding, stability and embodied wisdom. As evening arrives, Moon leaps through the tricky gap between water sign (Cancer) and fire sign (Leo), causing abrupt and possibly challenging shifts in our emotional body and inner waters. Abrupt change is likely as Moon lands in Magha nakshatra (Ketu and Pitr's constellation) and into Leo. Moon joins Jupiter and Sun in Leo, while Saturn's drishti (gaze) provides contractions and constriction, as well as structure and focus. Saturn reminds us to use the somatic wisdom of the physical body as a tuning fork- especially when life feels overwhelming and un-grounded. The emotions may feel heated and frustrated in the coming days, so let your body share its needs with you. Stay cool and land in your body as much as possible, rather than boiling over. Themes with mother and father, our personal mythology and family paradigms, continue to surface. Are you using these insights for awakening? Or are you pushing away and suppressing the messages? Friday continues with Moon magnifying our sense of power and purpose. Magha and its magnificent regal gifts are offerings from the ancestors- those who have helped you arrive into life and living. We are effected by the karmas of our lineage, just as we effect the family line energetically in the future. Align with dharma and purpose. Connect with legacy and the gifts you are leaving for those who are coming next. Share your light and passion with others! Light up the world. Late evening, Moon shifts to Venus's constellation, the fruitful and sensual, Purvaphalguni. This is the honey blossom nakshatra of the zodiac. It can attract bees to nectar and offers an influx of life force, shakti, the nectar of life. It's a forceful and dominating nakshatra that can bring potent waves of passion with it. Attend to your heart and honor its exploding, amorous feelings of love. As Saturday arrives, Moon is fully situated in the 15th tithi, the final phase of the waning cycle. The silent pull of our inner world is more captivating at this time and can bring nourishment and insights. Let the gentle stirring of your inner realms guide you, follow the longings you have to go slowly, gently and intentionally right now. Purvaphalguni and its ruling deity, Bhaga, provide extreme creativity, sensuality and heart potency. Ride the passionate waves and channel this into creative activities, manifestation and inner healing. Join me for a *free* Dharma Awakening class. Depending on your location, the new Moon arrives just as Saturday is ending or just as Sunday begins. My new Moon timing is Pacific Daylight, which puts the new Moon at 23:41 Saturday the 12th. Moon is in Leo and Purvaphalguni nakshatra as it completely empties, and Bhaga shares his sensuality with us as well as the power of Sun sign Leo. In many ways, the previous full Moon felt very fragile and delicate and had the essence of a new, inward Moon. This new Moon, however, has a very externalized feeling. It's fierce and powerful and perhaps more like a full Moon in its expression. The challenge of this powerful new Moon is that is coincides with a partial solar eclipse. The eclipse begins at 09:40 PDT and continues until 02:05 on Sunday the 13th. The strongest part of the eclipse occurs around 11:52 PDT on Saturday. The partial solar eclipse begins a delicate two week period that lasts until the total lunar eclipse and full Moon on September 27th. It is never advised to look at an eclipse directly nor be out while it's occurring. (This particular solar eclipse is only visible in South in Africa, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Antarctica). Eclipses are a time to meditate, follow spiritual practices, chant and adhere to rest. Leading up to the eclipse, fasting or eating lightly is traditional. The solar eclipse is a shadow to our Sun self, our inner light, the soul. In the coming waxing cycle, be diligent with your masculine energy, ego, father and personal mythology connected to these. This includes being seen, noticed and heard and the outward manifestation of our desires. In fact, manifestation is a huge part of this cycle. For some, blessings and gains may arrive with powerful force and purpose. Others may experience power struggles inside and out. Relationships take center stage. Are you in right relationship with others? This begins with having a very honest and courageous relationship with yourself first and foremost. Get aligned with who you are and what you stand for. Be bold in what you ask for and take a leap towards your power, path and purpose. Trust your inner knowing. Sunday arrives with low tides and the aftermath of eclipse shadows. Mars is now sandhi, in the gap between Cancer and Leo. This tricky gandanta is a challenging place for fire sign Mars to be. Fire leaving water after many weeks, he may feel water-logged and overly-saturated by now. Feelings are full and heavy, emotions are passionate and strong. Actions are slow and there's a sense of treading water. Don't force anything at this time. Allow space, time and deep surrender to take place within heart and mind. The Moon shifts into the latter half of the Phalguni constellation, Uttaraphalguni, just as Sunday begins. Ruling deity Aryaman, one of the twelve Adityas, provides us with resources and support. He is also connected to the ancestors- who provide us with nourishment when our actions please them. He brings sustainability in relationships and lasting support with contracts and unions. Deepen your relationship with self and others today. What new resources, support or council do you need to strengthen your connections? How can you balance giving and receiving, your power and vulnerability? Your inner and outer? Moon moves to Virgo late morning, joining Mercury and Rahu here. The mind becomes a central focus and an addictive force. As Moon tightly conjuncts Rahu today, it's vital we track the inner eclipse dynamics within. Who's in the drivers seat? Stand in your knowing and land in your heart. What shadows are playing tricks on your mind? Early Monday morning, Moon shifts into Hasta nakshatra, tighly conjuncting Mercury. The battle between thinking and feeling may be strong today. How can you find balance between these two inner forces? Let the light come in and bring the dawn. It's a new dawn, it's a new day. What are you creating? *Timing used is Pacific Standard Time Zone.
Need some extra guidance and clarity? I am now booking for October. Schedule a session with me. Plan your week in tune with nature. Never miss a planetary update. Sign up for my weekly newsletter. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. Themes of deep transformation continue. Changes that connect to endings, release and letting go are emerging for each of us. As multiple planets touch the re-structuring heat of Ketu on their way out of Pisces (endings) and into Aries (beginnings), we will feel many areas of our being getting reformatted. The portal between Pisces and Aries opens up once Venus starts the procession from the end of the zodiac into the beginning. Mars follows suit March 23rd, then Mercury and Sun in April. This gandanta (gap) is particularly challenging, signifying deep inner change while ushering in insights and support from higher realms. Multiple parts of ourselves are going through upheaval and release. Trust the process and learn the art of surrender as you face your fire. Saturn begins his six month retrograde motion on March 14th. This is an event of re-visiting our structures, support systems- both internally and externally. The returning process is happening on an emotional body level which will demand our complete attention- especially as Jupiter continues to transit through the heart-centered emotional water sign of Cancer. The inner work that we commit to at this time will be lasting, deeply rooted change. This will bring transformation on the physical and emotional body levels. Read more about Saturn's transit through Scorpio and how he is impacting each sign. This waxing Moon cycle falls in between the delicate two week gap between solar eclipse and lunar eclipse. The spring celebration of the Divine Mothers, Vasant Navaratri, falls during this delicate two week gap. The nine day celebration begins Saturday March 21st with Moon in Pisces conjunct Mars, Sun and Ketu, intensifying themes of loss, release and letting go. Read more about Vasant Navaratri and how to make the most of this sacred time. I'll be sharing a 10 Day Self Care Challenge in my newsletter in the coming days for some extra resources. Make sure you're on my list. Remember that eclipses represent the shadowed self, our inner darkness that must come to the light. In the Vedic tradition, this is not a time to take risks, start new endeavors, or to over-exert. It is a time, however, of turning inward, of meditation and contemplation and a time to take extra care of the physical body with good routine etc. The delicate two week period between eclipses will end with a lunar eclipse and full Moon on April 4th. This full Moon will also be Hanuman Jayanti, the birthday of the sacred Monkey god who symbolizes heartfelt devotion. Timing is everything. Was this post helpful? Please share it with a friend! Thank you. Aries: There is fire in your head and if you choose to use it wisely, you can get a lot accomplished at this time. Take bold and powerful action steps. Stand in your power and resolve to get your needs met. Don't take no for an answer. There is fear, uncertainty and a weakened ego to contend with, but confronting this darkness is part of the battle right now. These are old haunts and you are all too familiar with them. How you choose to work with these emotions and stories right now determines how you will move forward from here on out. Be bold.
Taurus: As you work more consciously with gains and losses, you may be noticing how life becomes almost neutralized as a result. Plus one, minus one, the result is still the same. There is an important message here for your ego and your mind. You don't change, no matter what is occurring around you, to you, through you. You stay the same. You are the neutral, the non changing. Be that non-dual state and use it as a way to overcome the fears and illusions that arrive. Gemini: It's important to be using your career right now as a self development tool, a resource for inner change. The way we handle our business is the way we handle our life and vice versa. If you are feeling the upheavals and changes with your offering to the world and how you offer yourself, it's time to start surfing the waves with more intention. How can you use these challenges as an opportunity for growth? What new resources and support do you need as you strengthen your business skills? Cancer: Very necessary parts of yourself are being restructured- pulled apart so you can put them back together more consciously. This re-structuring process has everything to do with you stepping into your dharma, your path, more aligned and more certain. Take some courageous action steps and put yourself out in more visible ways. Get the attention and recognition your ego needs to feel more confident in moving forward. You've done this before and you will do it again, but right now, your actions determine how you will thrive in the coming months. This will change the course of your path so let your steps be conscious. Leo: Changes are occurring in you from the inside out and helping you touch upon deep wounds of the past. Your ego and sense of self is going through many transformations. Some new passion is being re-kindled in this process so tend to this inner flame carefully. This requires being diligent and gentle with your emotional body right now. The keys are within your heart. The emotional body will be a necessary resource to help you unlock other hidden messages. Keep your eye on the prize and trust there is light at the end of the tunnel. Don't go down with the sinking ship! Stay connected to your purpose. Virgo: Uncertainties continue to plague you. By now, I hope you are figuring out that the best use of your time and efforts is to deeply surrender. Not roll over and take it, but in fact release and let go of your old attachments. These attachments are causing you great pain and suffering which are in fact the wounds you must transform and heal. Ketu in your 7th house is helping you shift your relationship attachments and find a new sense of inner strength simultaneously. You are building courage but this is a slow process. Let your steps be intentional. Libra: You are truly getting a chance to work on some very lingering bad habits. To heal and transform parts of yourself that are keeping you from succeeding powerfully and with conviction. Ego and mental body are getting cracked open, undermining your sense of comfort and support. Nourishment may feel fleeting or lost, but if you're paying attention, these themes are all too familiar. How can you move forward more consciously? How can you get some new support? What relationships are showing up to help you with this? Build a deeper relationship with your vulnerability. Scorpio: Feeling sensitive? That might be an understatement, so tending to your fragility with grace is truly the challenge. I believe this is possible as you acquire and gather new resources for yourself right now. Notice what is arriving to support you at this time of great transition and change. Learning to trust your gut intelligence, your instincts and intuition in deeper ways is part of what you are learning. This deeper relationship with your inner intelligence is truly just the thing you need for becoming more empowered. Trust the process. Sagittarius: Let the small comforts in, whatever may be returning. Notice if some of these returning comforts are actually bringing more pain instead. Perhaps you've outgrown some parts of yourself? Your needs have changed? Whatever this new awareness is, mark it and pay homage to it intentionally. The heart is learning and growing and helping you expand into new territory. Honor this and sense the strength in your core that is helping you reframe this time for yourself. Celebrate small victories. Capricorn: It feels like you've been here many times before. There's a strange comfort in this pain and transformation. Are you addicted to the pain? Do you use it as creative life force energy? Do you require it to thrive? Is it somehow a strange sort of medicine for you to stand in the fire like this? I believe so. There's something you still need from this darkness and all that you are confronting right now. What are you ready to release this time once and for all and what do you still need to cling to? Suffering can get very comfortable. Be aware of your comfort levels. Aquarius: You are finding new ways to be nourished, but not without facing your malnourishment in the process. The pains, the turmoil and the angst is a result of not being able to absorb the nourishment in you and around you. There are reasons for this and they come from your family system, your early childhood experiences. The sooner you are willing to bravely unpack these challenges and haunts, the sooner you'll be able to rebuild the life you've been waiting to live. Ask for support. Pisces: You've been getting the pressure from all sides dear one. In fact the major planetary shifts that have been happening for weeks now have all been happening inside your head. This is a time of deep awakening, of being cracked open in very intimate and intense ways. It would be completely normal for you to be feeling fragile, vulnerable and raw right now. The most important steps though are the ones you take to slowly piece yourself back together. Like Wabi Sabi, let the gold replace the broken places. With the major shifts of last week behind us, we see another wave of change arriving late in the week. New Moon on Friday in conjunction with a total solar eclipse, followed by the beginning of Vasant Navaratri on Saturday, invites in deep release. This is a very inward time- don't be fooled by the intensity and chaos forcing movement and change! The best use of our time is to turn within, gathering our strength and resources, seeking clarity and stability. A deeper external cycle is to come, but don't rush it. Monday begins with an interesting focus on the Moon. Three retrograde planets will give drishti to Moon who transits Capricorn. Retrograde Jupiter, Saturn and Rahu (he always moves in reverse) provoke themes from the past. Our efforts, heart and home, as well as a need for renewed clarity and structure surface. Allow yourself to expand into new territory and become aware of possible resources as you do so. Stay awake and open to receive what arrives. Don't forget to say thank you. Rise and shine on Tuesday. Take lemons and make them into lemonade. Keep on the sunny side of life and work with gaining momentum with your ideas, goals and career endeavors. Moon has moved to the 14th tithi by Wednesday, inviting in a deepening inward experience as we near Amavasya, or the new Moon. Satabisha nakshatra is awakened by the Moon today and we may notice a harsher edge arrive on the mental and emotional body levels. This critical edge can help us bring awareness to our needs. What is working? What is not? How can these inner challenges help us find new pathways of being? Take your challenges into change and solutions. Seek healing through renewal. Have you signed up for my *free* Jyotish Basics Class on Saturday, March 21st? Don't miss out on this free class! Thursday invites us to deepen our dance with emotions and mind. What is our relationship with the emotional body and the mental body? Can we navigate their differences consciously? It may feel that we are balancing opposing forces today. Keep one foot firmly grounded and let the other prepare for a big leap forward. We are each stepping into very new territory at this time with an invitation to open doors of possibility. Pay attention for clues. Your mind may be telling you one thing, but listening to your emotional body and intuition are truly most important. As Moon arrives into the 15th tithi today, the final phase of the waning cycle, we will be feeling pulls to our depths. Let self inquiry and soft listening be a priority. The new Moon arrives on Friday, March 20 at 04:37 CDT while Moon is in Pisces and Uttara Bhadra Nakshatra. Spring equinox (northern hemisphere) starts today! A Solar Eclipse occurs with the new Moon beginning at 02:41 CDT and ends at 06:50 CDT. Eclipses represent the shadowed self, our inner darkness that must come to the light. The solar eclipse brings shadows on the Sun, the ego and the masculine, ultimately our inner power. In the Vedic tradition, this is not a time to take risks, start new endeavors, or to over-exert. It is a time, however, of turning inward, of meditation and contemplation and a time to take extra care of the physical body with good routine etc. This eclipse marks a delicate two week period between eclipses which will end with a lunar eclipse and full Moon on April 4th. Traditionally starting new endeavors during this delicate eclipse period is not advised. Want to know more about this new Moon, its theme and impact on you? My 2015 Moon Wisdom Calendar gives you this and more!! Get the details. Friday brings a sense of juggling multiple tasks. We may feel urgency to make change. Anger, frustrations and overwhelm may set in. Be diligent with the emotions that are emerging and take notes. What themes are you noticing from your personal mythology? What are you ready to change in order to create something different? This is a time of deep release and re-structuring. Expand towards what nourishes you. The nine day celebration of the Divine Mother, Vasant Navaratri, begins Saturday with Moon in Pisces conjunct Mars, Sun and Ketu. All four planets receive drishti from retrograde Jupiter and Rahu, intensifying the feeling of being expanded and pulled in multiple directions. Balance is a key reminder today. Spend time meditating, getting embodied and taking time to restore and relax. Do less and accomplish more- even though it will feel extra challenging. Use today for total rejuvenation. Read more about Vasant Navaratri and how to make the most of this sacred time. I'll be sharing a 10 Day Self Care Challenge in my newsletter in the coming days for some extra resources. Make sure you're on my list. Join me for my *free* Jyotish Basics Class on Saturday, March 21st! I'll be sharing my favorite tips, tricks and resources to help you track the Moon in order to help you deepen your self tracking process. Sign up for details. Moon joins Venus in Aries on Sunday. Start your day with the intention of restoration and release. Use the latter half of your day to connect in meaningful ways, to deepen and transform your relationships. Expect some bumps and challenges with this process, but trust the re-structuring process occurring right now. All of our relationships- with self and with others- are shifting at this time. Mars moves to the edge of Pisces and prepares to jump into the tricky gandanta (junction point) between Pisces and Aries. A deep transformation of our warrior nature is being confronted at this time. This placement requires surrender and an intention of allowing in new possibilities. Let go of your agenda for now. Sunday is the second day of Navaratri and the second of three dedicated to the fierce goddess Maha Durga. Now is the time to be using your inner power to let go of and release the parts of your self that are no longer serving your highest self. This theme of relationships caries us through Monday. Be mindful about how you are connecting, and who you are connecting with. My next *free* Jyotish Basics Class is March 21st. This Week's Intention: Let the stirring within you take root. Tend to these new sprouts with care and intention. Diwali (or Deepavali) is a very significant five day festival in the Vedic tradition. This year, the festivities begin on the 18th in the USA, and continue until the 25th. The most significant day of the Diwali festivities is on the 23rd because of the new Moon. This is a celebration of light, of Lakshmi, and our divine resources. The festival of light spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. As the solar eclipse is occurring simultaneously, we literally are experiencing an eclipse of our light, our solar energy, our soul. Today, let in the light, the abundance that is present in your life- no matter how small or nuanced. Turn on the light switch of your soul and let this be a poignant moment, intentionally driving out the shadows and inviting in more light to your life. Possibility, hope and joy are significant resources. Honor Lakshmi, light a candle at your altar and invoke her spirit of abundance and wealth. New Moon is at 16:57 CDT while Moon is in Libra and Chitra nakshatra. Moon moves to Swati nakshatra at 17:31 CDT. The partial solar eclipse begins at 17:00 CDT and continues until 18:52 CDT. A lot of movement and shifts are happening within this two hour time frame. Use this time for meditation, invocation and setting intentions if possible. Swati nakshatra increases shadow, movement and shape shifting. The rule of Swati, Vayu the wind god, increases these tendencies. Symbolically, this partial solar eclipse ushers in the next waxing cycle for us. This is a cycle that brings essential balancing for the pieces of our life and relationships that have been causing us upheaval. The balance occurs once we slowly sift and settle into our new choices and action steps. Digestion and assimilation of the past month bring the stability we are seeking. Finding the most nourishing morsels of our lives and what our greatest needs are, becomes our driving force. Transformation becomes the nourishment, as well as instigates the nourishment we need. Seek transformation and let new resources feed you. Your emotional body is a vital resource for making wise choices and action steps. Whatever your intuitive knowing offers you- go there. Use this wisdom to guide you. Restructure the way you offer yourself, how you share your wisdom. Shift the way you seek wisdom and knowledge. Invite in innovation. Let the body be a primary creative resource for you. Resource from the wisdom of the body. Listen deeply and ask your body to give you the guidance you are seeking. Pelvis and hips can be a resource for informing the way you dance with stability, support, moving forward and containment. How can you move forward with greater stability and support? *New Moon Chart Creative Ritual for the Waxing Moon Cycle
Libra becomes a vital part of our new Moon eclipse experience, as well as our coming waxing Moon cycle. Libra represents seventh house matters- relationships, our mirror, the other. Libra offers us balance, vacillation, global awareness and compassion, as well as confusion and lack of commitment at times. There is a correlation to the pelvis, which metaphorically connects us to stability and support, as well as a sense of holding. The pelvic bowl contains our sexual, reproductive and excretory organs. This is a vital body part for our sense of thriving, joy, passion and sensuality. It is a container, and also connects us to our vulnerability. The pelvic region connects us to 2nd chakra issues, including our financial and wealth resource, abundance, and our creative flow. 1) With the above elements in mind, draw an image of your pelvis. Let the image express your connection to this body part. What is your relationship with your pelvis? What is your response to this body part? How does it support you and help you thrive? Let these questions help you develop your pelvis drawing. Include colors, textures, images and shapes that express your pelvic relationship. 2) Dance your pelvis drawing. Find one element of your image that speaks to you. Perhaps it's a color, shape or some intriguing texture. Enter your dance through the pelvis and begin to move. Move your image using the resources of pelvis and the intriguing element you have chosen to work with. Keep developing your dance for 10 to 15 minutes. Let your dance evolve and increase your somatic sensations as you move. Remember to breathe and allow your pelvis to be a primary resource for your movements. 3) Harvesting. What resources did your pelvic dance offer you? What challenges? How can this inform the way you move forward in your life? Need some extra guidance and clarity? Schedule a session with me.
